Dr. Emily Parham is an Illinois native growing up just 60 miles south of Chicago. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she was a cheerleader for the Temple Owls. She has always had an interest in helping people return to health and decided to further her education giving her the ability and accessibility to help people. She attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. While in school she also received training on Fascial Movement Taping Levels 1 & 2 (RockTaping), Post-surgical rehabilitation, Instrument Assissted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM) and with Motion Palpation Institute, Golf and the DC. She was also an active board member of the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) and ChiroGames Club, as well as, a member of the Lambda Chi sorority.
After graduation Dr. Parham decided to give up the cold Chicago winters and move south. She worked in Anderson, SC for a year where she met her husband Cory, they got married in July 2016. She moved to Elberton and in March 2016 opened Granite City Family Chiropractic! In December 2018 they added a beautiful baby girl, Adaline Rose, to the GCFC family. Adaline takes her new role as office manager very seriously. Dr. Parham's goal is to achieve complete family health and wellness with a focus on pregnant women and pediatrics.
She is Webster Technique certified, has had training in pediatric full-spine segmental evaluation and adjusting, and in assessing and treating the special-needs pediatric population though the ICPA. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
